Dumb & Dumber
Dumb & Dumber is the best movie ever. If you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out. I’ve seen it like a hundred times and it’s still hilarious!

Dreamhost, being the fantabulous host that they are, sent out 5 invite codes for me to pass along… if you sign up with one of these codes, you will get:
I’ve been using Dreamhost for about 3 years now and I’ve had pretty good luck with them. Their control panel is nice, and I love that they offer SSH. You can also have unlimited domains/sub-domains, databases, emails, etc etc. They even support Ruby on Rails… although if you’re serious about your Railsin’, you should probably choose a host with some kind of dedicated resources, since Rails is a big hog.
If anyone is interested, email me, or leave a comment :) They expire in 2 weeks!
I’m the type of girl that gets a zillion magazines, rips out the stuff that looks cool (recipes, organizing ideas, crafts, whatever) and puts them away in a folder… never to be touched again. Now, I have a ton of cool articles and how-to’s, but how would I ever find them if they’re in piles, tucked away somewhere I never see?
January we went to Macworld in San Francisco. There was a lot of cool stuff, but the one thing that stuck out was this scanner, the Fujitsu Scan Snap S300M (different versions for Mac and PC). It is so awesome! Originally we wanted to get it to scan all our receipts and become paperless, but I have scanned all of my magazine articles (143 so far)! The tiny scanner has a feeder and can be set up to do whatever you want, whether it is saving the stack in the feeder to one PDF, or save each page to it’s own file, scanning both sides, or one, color or black and white, etc etc…
Being the dork that I am, I built an app to upload all of them, tag them, sort them, put prices on them (for receipts) and best of all, search through them!
The only complaint I have about the scanner is one part of the software. You have three options to save your files - two of them are date formats, and the last is “custom”, but in this “custom” format, you can’t include the current date! Totally dumb, but in the big picture, it doesn’t even matter.
I’m really frustrated that so many things (including non-diet) have sucralose (aka. Splenda) in them.
My cousins girlfriend introduced these to me on my first trip to Whole Foods. They are so good!! They are kind of hearty, with a little spice, and they’re good for you! Well, I don’t know about that, but they’re not bad for you

Over the past few months I have wanted to start eating better, increasing healthy foods (fruit, veggies) and getting rid of not so great things (sugar substitutes, too much sugar, saturated fat). This has become more and more important for me for a few reasons… First off, I’m getting old! I need to start taking care of my body better. Secondly, I want to get in shape and lose some fat (and yes, I do need and want to). Last, I’ve been feeling kinda sick and not really myself.
I’ve started shopping at Whole Foods for snacks and breakfasts, and have started trying harder to cook dinner more. I’ve also started walking a little after work.
My breakfast consists of 45g of Aspire cereal topped with 80g of Wallabee Nonfat Vanilla yogurt and 3 large strawberries, which is about 100g (I’m bad at eye-balling so I measure it every morning). For snacks I have Kashi TLC Crunchy Granola Bars (pumpkin spice flax is my fave!), and yogurt mixed with trail mix (mmm!) A new favorite is broccoli and tempeh with garlic soy sauce.
My co-worker is a vegetarian and started posting the meals she comes up with on her blog, No Cookbook. I love her tag line - “QUICK, Food!”
It’s helped me a lot with ideas on what I can eat and it shows I don’t need a ton of time after work to prepare a good meal. Now, getting my husband to try them is a different story… baby steps!
Wow, where has the time gone? It’s been forever since I’ve updated… I still don’t have much to say, but since I got a little nudge from Shellie, I’ll fill everyone in on what’s been going on.
This weekend we’re going to Disneyland for HalloweenTime! We’re going to be going much more often now that Chloe is getting older and loving it! She loves Mickey, Minnie, and the princesses. Since there is probably not going to be much to update, Happy Halloween, Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year!
PS. I still haven’t done the moulding. I hope to finish it by the end of the year!
Yipee!! Our wedding went great - we had a blast! In my eyes, everything went perfect, but I’m glad it’s over! I can’t wait to go on our honeymoon at Disney World tomorrow.
Thanks to our photographer, Jen May, for capturing the whole day - she is the best!!
It’s finally coming to an end… We’re getting married this Friday and then we’re off to Disney World
Can’t wait!
Today my family from Wisconsin is flying in, so I can spend some time with them before the wedding. Tomorrow we’re off to Santa Barbara to finish up the cupcakes and some last minute things.
Ok, so you all know I have this thing with buying cars… but this is my last one… for real! Well, at least until it dies on me. It is a 2007 Toyota 4Runner 2WD V6 Sport Edition in Galactic Gray Mica. I love it! I have really missed having an SUV since I got rid of my Explorer. It’s perfect…
